Under the theme of “Multilateralism: More Exchanges, Greater Inclusiveness and Cooperation”, the 2023 Imperial Springs International Forum (ISIF) is being held in Guangzhou’s Conghua District from December 3 to 5.

Engaging over 130 leaders from the business, political, academic, and global community, including former Presidents of Slovenia, Latvia, and Costa Rica, this forum is committed to initiating substantive discussions on world peace, economic development, and cultural exchanges, promoting greater consensus among all parties, and shaping global agendas that matter for all humankind.

Throughout this forum, three parallel sessions focusing on six major topics will be held, aiming to present inspiring proposals for the practice of true multilateralism.

Concurrently with the ISIF, the Understanding China Conference and the World Media Forum are taking place in Guangzhou, bringing together global minds to foster broad consensus and expand global cooperation.

“Guangzhou, now hosting these three eminent conferences, is very positive for the reputation, and the image of the Guangdong province, Guangzhou, and the Greater Bay Area. It's important that regions like the Greater Bay Area and the Guangdong province take their place on the international scene,” said Yves Leterme, Former Prime Minister of Belgium.

“Not too long ago, Guangdong was just a tiny agricultural township. And today it has transformed as one of the leading economies not just in China, but perhaps in the world where many countries don't have the per GDP size of Guangdong,” noted Siddharth Chatterjee, Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in China.

“These conferences happening in Guangzhou is a very good example of how we can cooperate. People from all over the world sitting around the same table, and talking one to another. This is inclusion, this is openness,” said Andrei Chevelev, Chief at Asia and the Pacific Unit of Sector for the Priority Africa and External Relations at UNESCO.
