▌Under the guidance of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, procuratorial organs in Guangdong have carried out a public interest litigation supervision campaign to promote green and low-carbon development since the beginning of this year. Prosecutors have handled 1,257 public interest litigation cases in the field of environmental and resource protection, and issued 512 procuratorial suggestions to relevant administrative organs, urging them to fulfill their regulatory duties and thereby safeguarding the public interest. In addition, procuratorial organs have initiated 116 civil public interest litigation cases (including criminal cases with attached civil public interest litigation cases), with the people’s courts granting support in judgments totaling 296 million yuan. Through legal supervision and case handling, the procuratorial authorities have urged the cleanup and protection of 14,344 mu of mountains, rivers, forests, farmland, lakes, grasslands, and deserts, as well as the removal of 116,400 tons of solid waste, including 65,800 tons of hazardous waste.

今年以来，广东检察机关根据最高检部署扎实开展检察公益诉讼服务绿色低碳发展监督活动，办理生态环境和资源保护领域公益诉讼案件1257件，向有关行政机关发出行政公益诉讼检察建议512件，督促履行监管职责，实现公益保护目的；提起民事公益诉讼（含刑事附带民事公益诉讼）116件，获人民法院判决支持金额2.96亿元。通过监督办案，督促清理、保护山水林田湖草沙面积14344亩，清理固体废物11.64万吨，其中危险废物6.58万吨。
