立夏是二十四节气中的第七个节气，也是夏季的第一个节气。在这一天，北斗七星的斗柄指向东南方，太阳黄经达45°。立夏之后，日照和雷雨逐渐增多，气温爬升，草木迅速拔节，万物进入了茁壮生长的阶段。
It is the 7th term of the year, and the first solar term of summer. On this day, the sun's rays reach an angle of 45 degrees to the earth. The temperature will rise quickly during this period, yet in northern China the weather remains mild, not tropical.
