The 134th China Import and Export Fair kicked off in Guangzhou on October 15, which is also known as Canton Fair. The Fair is ongoing until November 4, consisting of three phases. More than 100,000 buyers from 215 countries and regions have pre-registered.

　　The exhibition area has been expanded to 1.55 million square meters, an increase of 50,000 square meters over the previous session. The total number of booths has reached 74,000, an increase of nearly 4,600, including 72,000 for export exhibitions and 1,550 for import exhibitions.

　　Exhibitors in the international pavilion come from 650 companies from 43 countries and regions, and 60% of them are from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

People from all over the world are attending the Canton Fair today because Canton Fair is always the brand for new customers to develop the business," said Bekar Mikaberidz, Official Representative of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Guangdong, who started to take part in the Canton Fair in 2006.

　　"We come to check opportunities and products to invest in, import from, or export to China," Hamood Salim said. He has been importing products from China for 12 years, and his customers are satisfied with the quality. "Many factories are available here under one roof, so we can get a good price."

I will stay here for two weeks and go to visit new factories to ensure we can have good quality products and good prices."

"Canton Fair is a great platform for us to communicate with users and clients around the world. We can learn about their needs and opinions regarding our products, which helps us improve both our goods and services."

　　Zhang elaborated that many new clients are from Southeast Asian countries as well as Eastern and Southern African countries. "We cooperate with distributors of printers in these countries. We notice that the turnover of sales in Belt and Road partner countries is high, especially in Russia."

　　Wu furthered that she met and exchanged with the companies' existing customers from Tanzania and Zambia on the first day of the Canton Fair. "According to our customers, the market is expecting a more cost-effective product with a fashionable appearance."

　　"We have participated in more than 40 exhibitions at home and abroad this year, and the Canton Fair is the largest platform among them." Ou Wentao, Marketing Manager of Foshan Huisheng Laser Technology Co., Ltd. said they will take orders at the Canton Fair and speed up the overseas promotion.
